On page 267 the book talks about how online shopping and how that it promised to cut over head costs from retail spaces but the shipping cost was another thing the consumer had to think about. Although that may be true but their are many online sites that offers free shipping i.e. amazon, eBay, etc. This will in doubt entice more to buy their products because its one less thing to worry about. I also buy certain items online and even if their is a shipping cost it doesn't take into consideration the availability of the item or the cost to travel and physically purchase the item. Lets not forget about the sales tax which to me is the most bothersome because sometimes its too high. I am then looking at the receipt which indicates the total of the items purchased but I had the extra sales tax? This is where online shopping has it's advantages when compared to the traditional way of shopping. For example I purchase my cologne online and my Dad would purchase them at the retail store which was overpriced when compared to the online total.
