POL 183-200

In our world today we take selfies, videos, edit them and use them for whatever purpose we want, like posting them on facebook, instagram, etc. The old visual technology compared to today's new technology couldn't compete what we have today and even phones now can do more than just communicating but can also take pictures and record video. But it's important not to take this luxury for granted. Imagine watching a black and white screen with no sound, I know I would hate that especially since we're so use to the technology we have now. It's pretty amazing how visual technology could be used to test scientific studies. For example visual technologies back then could be used to determine if a horse touched the ground while galloping (186). This alone sounds a lot more exciting than taking selfies. Even famous art works could be altered with our use of technology like the Mona Lego which is pretty amazing(198).
